Diamond selling dancehall/reggae superstar Orville Burrell popularly known as Shaggy will be the featured act at the Negril One Love Reggae Concert winter series show which will be held on Tuesday the 23rd of February at the Negril Escape Resort. Shaggy came to international prominence in the early 1990s with a cover of the Folks Brothers Ska hit Oh Carolina; since then he has become a household name world wide having sold millions of album and singles. Shaggy’s impressive catalogue boasts several international chart toppers such as It Wasn’t Me Angel, Boombastic, In The Summer Time, Luv Me Luv Me, Hey Sexy Lady, Wild Tonite and Whats Love.
Also on the lineup for this event is long-time stablemate and collaborator Rayvon, as well as local acts Terry Wonder and Escapade.
Part proceeds from this event will go to the Ironshore Basic School. Admission is US$50, tickets are available at Negril Escape resort, the Jungle Night Club and Sue’s Easy Rock Café. Gates open at 7 PM and show time is 8PM.
